Darla Leanne Martin, age 58, passed away surrounded by her three children on November 20, 2022 at 5:22pm. She was born on September 9, 1964 to the parents of Herman W. Kelly and Dixie L. Kelly (Hickey) in Indianapolis. Darla was a long time medical assistant with the last 15 years at Beech Grove Family Medicine. She had a huge heart and that showed through her work. She always made those around her feel special and gave the best hugs. She was so proud of her family and where she came from-but she was especially proud of her kids.

She is survived by her mother, Dixie Hickey (Harry); sister, Donna Kelly; brother, Randy (Mikey) Hickey; her children, Jonathan (Stephanie) Martin, Leanne Martin and Jillian Grose; and grandsons, Kordell, Landon and Lennox. She is preceded in death by her father, Herman Kelly and brothers, Mark and Donald Kelly.

A memorial service honoring Darla’s life will take place at 1:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2022 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227. A visitation will be held prior to the service from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the funeral home.

Her children are asking in lieu of flowers that donations be made to help with the costs of the funeral and other expenses.
