INDIANAPOLIS – Devan Michael Dungan, 26, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, January 8, 2023 in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on December 24, 1996 to Troy Lynn Dungan and Tracy Ann Burnell in Indianapolis, IN.

Devan graduated from Decatur Central High School in 2014. Then attended Lincoln College of Technology for Automotive Training. Devan’s hobbies included fishing, sky diving, off roading and boxing. He enjoyed karaoke and spending time with friends and family. Devan loved playing sports with his nephews and making people laugh. He was competitive and always up for a challenge. Devan was a jack of all trades and had various jobs throughout his life.

He is survived by his father, Troy Lynn Dungan; his mother, Tracy Ann Burnell; his brother, Steven Kennington; his sister, Cassidy Burnell; and his nephews, Eli Burnell, Jimmy Burnell and Carter Suter.

Devan’s friends and family may visit from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM on Thursday, January 19, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The celebration of Devan’s life will follow at 3:00 PM at Newcomer with Richard Fitzsimmons officiating.
