INDIANAPOLIS – Curtis Ray Young, 65, passed away at 3:45 AM on Saturday, January 14, 2023 at Indiana University Health West Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on November 9, 1957 to Curtis S. and Annabelle Burton Young in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Curtis enjoyed spending time with his dog, “Fat Girl”. His hobbies were camping and working on cars. Curtis loved NASCAR and was an avid Dale Earnhardt fan. Professionally, he was a carpenter for the union for most of his life.
Curtis is survived by his son, Ryan Neil Young; his daughter, Stephanie Marie Young; his brothers, Clayton Allen Young and Donald Young; his granddaughter, Sarena; his father, Curtis S. Young; and his dog, Fat Girl. He was preceded in death by his mother, Annabelle Young; his soulmate, Shirley Young; his grandson, Gabriel Nunez; and his daughter, Jamaica.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Tuesday, January 24, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. An inurnment ceremony will be held at a later date at Floral Park Cemetery Sanctuary of Hope Mausoleum, 425 North Holt Road, Indianapolis, Indiana 46222.
