Joan Harriet Dwigans Ivey, 78, passed away on Sunday, February 19, 2023 at Hendricks Regional Health in Danville, Indiana. She was born on March 14, 1944 to Joseph and Margaret Upton Dwigans in Shelbyville, Indiana. Joan married the late Roy Ivey on June 27, 1978 in Kentucky.

She is survived by her loving children: Cathy Hoffman, Curtis Ivey, Stacy McCann and Karen Loomis; her grandchildren: Rachel Adams, Taylor Elliott, Robert Smith, Aspen Ivey, John Ivey, Brandon McCann, Rebecca McCann, Ambrietta McCann, Mackenzie Vanhorn and Brandy Burrows; and her great grandchildren: Sawyer McCann, Rigdon McCann, DJ Ingram Jr., Erin French, Ethan French, Estin Long, Emilio, Esmeralda, Malcam Elliot, Hunter Bryant, Gage Bryant and EJ Bryant.

In addition to her parents and husband, Joan was preceded in death by her daughter, Patty Smith; brother, Jerry Dwigans; and granddaughter, Christina Swihart and Breanna Vanhorn.
