Richard Ace Humphreys, age 66 of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, March 6, 2023 in Indianapolis. He was born April 15, 1956 in Montrose, Colorado the son of Acea and Neiva (Savage) Humphreys. Richard attended Montrose High School in Montrose, Colorado. For most of Richard’s life, he worked as a carpenter and mechanic. He spent the past 36 years with the love of his life, Cheryl R. Monk. Richard enjoyed hunting, fishing and working on cars.
Richard is survived by long-time companion, Cheryl R. Monk; 6 children, Rob (Leticia), Kevin (Cara), Stephanie, Sadie, Cheryl (Chris) and Shawn; 17 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and numerous extended family members and friends.
Richard is preceded in death by his parents.
Richard’s wishes were to be cremated and have no formal services at this time. The family will have a celebration of life at a later date. Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions in Indianapolis is honored to handle Richard’s arrangements.
