She worked in the cafeteria at Franklin Central High School for many years. Winifred was a lifelong member of St. John Lutheran Church and was passionate about helping with the churches braille project. She loved her faith, church and family deeply. Winifred was an avid collector of Longaberger Baskets and Hummel Figurines. She enjoyed quilting, playing Euchre and Bingo. Winifred cherished spending time with her friends and family.
She is survived by her brother, Albert “Sonny” Shields; her sisters, Marcella “Sissy” McGlothlin and Shirley Perry; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Winifred was preceded in death by her husband, Forrest Wulf; son, Donald Wulf; sisters, Myrna Percifield and Linda Shields; and brothers, Kenneth Bardell, Charles “Ivan” Shields Jr. and Gary Shields.
Winifred’s friends and family may visit from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at St. John Lutheran Church, 6630 Southeastern Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46203. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM with Pastor Luke Watt officiating. Interment will follow at Washington Park East Cemetery, 10612 East Washington Street, Indianapolis, Indiana 46239.
