Nathaniel Walter Davidson
1978 - 2023

Nathaniel Walter “Nate” Davidson, age 45 of Martinsville, passed away on Monday, May 1, 2023 at his residence. He was born February 28, 1978 in Indianapolis, the son of Nathaniel and Marilyn (Robertson) Davidson. He was raised by not only his parents, but also with the help of Danny Lawrence, Susan Lawrence, Tom Hartley, Teresa Bryant, Veronica Davidson and Allison Ferguson. Nate considered them all his parental figures as they all helped to shape him into the man he became. Nate married the love of his life, Patricia Sosbe on July 24, 2010 in Cloverdale, Indiana. Nate worked for many years as a contractor. He enjoyed playing his Playstation 4 with friends, building things and feeding his birds. Nate loved to eat, especially Mexican food, many who knew and loved him would say, “That man could eat the whole house!”. His favorite holiday was Thanksgiving, not only for the food but also because that meant he would get to spend time with his family.

Nate was a loyal friend and a kind, forgiving man. He was an amazing best friend and husband. There was nothing is this world that Nate loved more than to spend time with his kids and his family. They all meant the world to him.

Nathaniel is survived by his wife, Patricia Davidson; 4 children, Shelbi Bell, Tyas Davidson, Brylen Sosbe and Shyla Davidson; 6 siblings, Shela Lawrence, Aaron Lawrence, Dana Spence, Shanda Grounds, Richard Ferguson and Kellie Ferguson; 2 grandchildren, Alaia McCombs and Rayden McCombs; several; nieces and nephews; and numerous extended family members and friends.

Nathaniel is preceded in death by his parents; and 2 siblings, Jason Bryant, Malissa Davidson.

A funeral service honoring Nate’s life will take place at 6:00 pm on Monday, May 8, 2023 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals and Receptions, 925 E. Hanna Ave. Indianapolis, IN 46227.
