In Memory Of
Craig Alan Capps
1958 - 2023
Craig graduated from Center Grove High School 1976 and then briefly attended IUPUI. Professionally, he worked at Asphalt Patching Co. for decades before starting his own small business, Capps Asphalt.
Most notably, Craig was a phenomenal guitar player and doting family man. He was an excellent cook, avid news watcher, and Colts enthusiast. He was always ready for Football Season. He loved music, the glory days of the STUTZ band and McAllister, extra ice, and a good-looking pair of shoes.
Craig had an incredible way of seeing the positive in life. He had a hilarious sense of humor and contagious laugh. He took care of his own and always took in others as if they were his family. Craig’s heart was too big for this earth, and his genuine kindness will forever be imprinted on all the lives he touched.
Craig’s friends and family may visit from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will follow at 7:00 PM with Jerry Ridge officiating. Graveside services will take place at 1:00 PM (CDT) on Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Groce Family Cemetery, Burkesville, Kentucky.
