Amber Marie Pierce, born on October 20, 1986, in Indianapolis, Indiana, departed this life on February 19, 2026, in Greenwood, Indiana. A vibrant and compassionate soul, Amber's presence was a gift to all who knew her.

Amber cherished time spent with her family. She was known for her love of cookouts and enjoyed the simple pleasures of life, such as playing cards, working on puzzles, listening to music, and going on car rides. Her heart was especially warm towards children, and she found joy in nurturing and spending time with the young ones in her life.

Amber leaves behind her devoted mother, Teresa Pierce, and her step-father, John Gillard. She is also survived by her loving sisters, Amanda Powell and Ashley VanZandt. Among her extended family, she is remembered fondly by her grandmother, Phyllis, as well as her aunts and uncles: Lisa, Donna, Diana, and Shawn. Amber adored her nieces, Skiann, Staci, and Jordan, and was a proud aunt to her nephews, Justin, Tyler, and Dawson. In addition to her immediate family, Amber is survived by several cousins, including Ryan, Tamera, Lindsey, and Johnny, and her great-nieces and great-nephews, whom she delighted in watching grow – “Lil” Ryan, Kayden, Kyson, Kamden, Kashton, Journee, Everleigh, Paisley, Onna, and Belle.

Preceding her in death were her father, Raymond VanZandt, and her grandparents, Clearence, Martha, and Donnie Harper, as well as her uncles, Jeff and Mike. Their memories will forever be etched in the hearts of those who loved Amber.

Amber Marie Pierce will be sorely missed, yet her spirit will continue to inspire those whose lives she touched throughout her time on this Earth. May she rest in peace.
