Anthony "Tony" James Hotopp

August 6, 1968 – May 16, 2025

Tony proudly served his country and was honorably discharged from the Army before pursuing a lifelong career as an electrician. He graduated from the IBEW and dedicated years of service to both the IBEW and Amtrak, leaving behind a legacy of skill, hard work, and camaraderie.

Known for his infamous dad jokes and larger-than-life personality, Tony embraced every moment with enthusiasm. He had a deep love for sports, poker, Monopoly Go, and, of course, peanut butter toast. He cherished good times with a cold beer in hand, never missing an opportunity to bring joy, laughter, and his signature swagger to those around him.

Above all, Tony was a man who loved fiercely. His family was the heart of his world, and he treasured every moment with them. He is survived by his beloved wife, Nancy Hotopp; his daughter, Autumn Hotopp; his sons, Brandon Mounce, Andrew Norwood, and Mathew Norwood; his brothers, William (Debbie) Hotopp and Jeffery (Johanna) Hotopp; his grandchildren, Clayton Norwood and Navayah Mounce; his great-grandchild, Nadine Norwood; his mother, Sandra Hotopp; and his stepmother, Mary Hotopp.

He now joins those who went before him; his father, Robert "Bob" Hotopp; his twin brother, Timothy "Timmy" Hotopp; and his son, Carey "CJ" Hickman - in peaceful rest.

Tony lived boldly, loved wholeheartedly, and will forever be remembered for the impact he made on the lives of everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His legacy lives on in laughter, love, and the stories that will be told for generations to come.

Tony's friends and family may visit from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM on Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The memorial service will follow at 4:00 PM.
