Arthur Alan "Al" Johnson, A loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 2, 2026 at his home in Greenwood, IN. He was born on June19,1950 In Harvard, IL. He spent his life sharing love, laughter, and support for those around him.

Al was a proud graduate of Belvidere High School in the class of 1968. He continued his education after high school at the University of Southern Illinois. In his career, he had many positions in the automotive industry before finally retiring as a service warranty manager. Al had a great appreciation for automobiles and enjoyed going to classic car shows and drag races. He was a lifelong Chicago Cubs fan along with his love for true local teams, which he proudly displayed in his collection of hats.

He valued Sportsmanship, and instilled this in his family by coaching and supporting his kids and grandkids whenever they were on the field. Al took comfort in being at home where you could usually find him watching old westerns, sports, and all 50 seasons of Survivor, he never missed an episode and loved to do a recap the next day.

On December 13, 1969, Arthur Married his beloved wife Ravona "Vonnie" Winn, at Hope Reformed Church in Rockford, IL. Together, they enjoyed a beautiful journey that spanned over 55 years filled with love, support, and shared interests. A dedicated member of Christian Park Reformed Church for 40 years, Al's faith was central to his life and community.

Arthur was preceded in death by his loving wife and best friend Ravona; his parents, Henry and Helen Johnson; his brother, James Johnson and his wife Carmen; his sister, Judith Stokes and her husband Rodney; his father and mother-in-law, Lester and Ramona Winn; his sister-in-law, Nancy Wolske and her husband Paul; his brother-in-law, Stan Winn; and his nephew, Ron Johnson Sr.

He is survived by his daughter; Darcey Johnstone; his sons, Bryce Johnson and his wife Cheyenne, Bradley Johnson and his wife Sara; his sister, Mary Johnson and her wife Sheri; his sisters-in-law, Cindy Winn and Kay Winn; his brother-in-law, Cary Winn and his wife Betsy; his grandchildren, Derek Johnstone, Kaylee Mink, Kyndal Ipock, Meghan Johnson, Brock Johnson, Josie Hatfield and Emma Johnson; his great-grandchildren, Camden Christian and Emery Christian, as well as several nieces and nephews.
