Arvine "Buck" E. Tompkins, 77, of Indianapolis passed away on September 6, 2019. He was born March 24, 1942 to Elbert & Estil (Wheat) Tompkins in Indianapolis.
Arvine served in the United States Army. He had worked for Dorsey Paving and then for Wal-Mart until his retirement. He enjoyed working on vehicles, cooking, visiting with others and he was always willing to lend a hand as needed.
Arvine is survived by his wife of 58 years: Betty (Harlow) Tompkins; daughters and son-in-law: Carolyn Baker and Joann and Roy Wheeler; grandchildren: Samantha, Thomas, Tony, Roy and Gracie; great-grandchildren: Bella and Phoenix; brother: Virgil Tompkins; and a host of other family and friends.
Arvine was preceded in death by his parents and 3 siblings: Doris, Jeanette and Donald.
