Barbara Cline, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025. She was born on September 21, 1943, in Indianapolis, to the late Kenneth and Juanita (Buchanan) Shafer.

Barbara was a strong-willed and independent woman. She lived life her own way and never shied from speaking her mind. She loved to dance in her younger years and was a lifelong fan of Elvis Presley, whose music always brought a spark to her spirit. Barbara was dedicated to taking care of her children and made sure they had what they needed, though she often did so in her own unique way.

She is survived by her children, James Cline and Rochelle (Sherman) Bullard; her grandchildren, Courtney (Juan), April, Deana (Raul), Erin (Ben), and Cody; her great-grandchildren, Jonathan, Christian, Alexander, Adriana, Maya, Anthony, and Adelynn; and her brother, Carl Shafer.

She is preceded in passing by her husband, James Earl Cline I; daughter Daun Cline; parents Kenneth and Juanita (Buchanan) Shafer; five sisters; and two brothers.
