Beth Anita Fuller (Tempest), age 65, of Greenwood, Indiana, peacefully ascended to her heavenly home on January 16, 2025, surrounded by her doting and loving family.
Beth was born on November 23, 1960, in Columbus, Indiana, the daughter of Richard Tempest and Carolyn Sebastian.
Beth graduated from Columbus East High School in 1979 and went on to attend Taylor University from 1980 to 1981.
Beth Tempest and Blake Fuller were married on June 29, 1986, at First Christian Church in Columbus. They were deeply and unwaveringly devoted to their vows and to one another for 40 years. They honeymooned in Yellowstone and traveled throughout the West, including Glacier National Park and the Grand Canyon. In 1988, they moved to Greenwood and started their family. Together they had three beautiful children: Hannah, Addie, and Evan.
Beth’s career spanned over 32 years as a Distribution Clerk with the United States Postal Service in Greenwood, Indiana. She was a hardworking and dedicated employee who made many connections within the Greenwood community. Her good humor and vibrant smile were a vessel for joy wherever she went. Beth retired from USPS in 2020.
Beth especially loved her faith, her friends, and her family. She enjoyed going out to eat at Bob Evans with her best friends, sisters, and children. Beth had an impeccable sense of humor and an uncanny ability to find the good in every moment. She was the definition of mindfulness.
Beth was a member of Greenwood Christian Church and was completely devoted to her faith in Jesus Christ. She donated many hours of her time to volunteer work at the church and served as a witness for Christ to many throughout her life.
Beth and Blake supported a sweet young Haitian boy named Edouard Phabrassou through Compassion International beginning when he was five years old. They wrote letters back and forth for years, which included many cute drawings from Edouard. Beth and Blake continued to support Edouard even after he graduated, and he went on to medical school. They loved him like their own child.
Remaining to cherish Beth’s memory are her loving husband, Blake Whitney Fuller (66), who was devoted to her 24-hour care; their three children, Hannah Fuller (32), Addie Fuller (30), and Evan Fuller (28); her beloved sister, Jennifer Tempest (55); her nieces, Brittany Jaynes, Bonnie (Jr.) Fuller, Heather Allen, and Emma Das; her nephews, Rijel Fuller and Arjen Fuller; and many loving cousins and friends who endlessly adored her.
Preceding Beth in death are her parents, Richard and Carolyn Tempest; her mother- and father-in-law, Bob and Bonnie Fuller; her sisters, Cathy Vogt and Julie Das; and her nephew, Sam Johnson.
Beth’s Celebration of Life will be held in Greenwood in the spring, around Easter—one of her favorite times of year. More details to come. Please contact Hannah Fuller at (317) 345-0904 for information.
