With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Beverly Gene Strode, who peacefully departed this life on July 10, 2026, at the age of 79.
Beverly was the beloved matriarch of our family. She was a woman of unwavering strength, boundless compassion, and unconditional love. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, and togetherness, where everyone was welcomed with open arms and a caring heart.
A proud graduate of Manual High School, Beverly dedicated 35 years of service to St. Francis Hospital. During her career, she furthered her education to become a Central Sterilizing Technician, a role she performed with dedication and pride until her retirement in 2009.
Beverly found joy in the simple things that made life special. She was a devoted fan of Elvis Presley, loved Garfield, and had a special place in her heart for all things Disney and Harry Potter. Above all else, her greatest happiness came from spending time with her family. Whether gathered for holidays, celebrations, or everyday moments, she treasured every opportunity to be surrounded by those she loved most.
She devoted her life to her family, always placing the needs of others before her own. Her wisdom guided us, her faith gave us strength, and her love shaped the lives of all who knew her. Whether through her comforting words, delicious home-cooked meals, cherished family traditions, or quiet acts of kindness, she created memories that will be treasured for generations.
Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on in the values she instilled, the memories she created, and the love she shared so freely.
She was preceded in death by her parents, William Marlin Strode and Alberta Gene Strode, and her brother, William Wallace Strode.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Mark Allen Strode; her grandson, Luke Wilhelm; her brothers, Marlin Guy Strode (Vickie) and Melvin Strode; her sister, Nancy Fries; her nieces and nephews, Cassie Strode, Brandy Winters (Denton), Brian Floyd, Bobby Floyd, William Strode Jr., Sabrina Roach (Micah), Marlin Strode Jr., Tara Todd (Brian), Laina Fries, and Shawn Strode; her great-nieces and great-nephews, Denton Winters IV, Brianna Nuckols, Arionna Winters, Kyiah Strode, Hunter Strode, Kiera Todd, Mickaylah Roach, Brennon Todd, Jayden Roach, and the soon-to-be-born Elowyn Todd; and her great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews, Elijah, Denton V, and K.J.
A funeral service for Beverly will be held Wednesday, July 15 at 6 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, and Receptions located at 925 East Hanna Avenue Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. Friends may gather for visitation from 4 pm until the time of the service.
We will forever cherish her beautiful smile, gentle spirit, unwavering resilience, and the unconditional love she gave without hesitation. While she will be deeply missed every day, we celebrate a life well lived, a family well loved, and a legacy that will never fade.
May she rest in God's eternal peace, reunited with those who went before her, and may her memory forever be a blessing to all who knew and loved her.
