Billy Ray McKinney

Billy Ray McKinney, 53, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on June 29, 2025.

Born on November 11, 1971, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Billy was the son of Maryann Furgason and the late Raymond E. McKinney.

Billy built a career as a well-known mechanic and excavator/heavy machine operator.

Billy is survived by his children, Rick, Heather, and Jesse. He was a proud grandfather to Alexander, Caiden, Harper, Hadley, and Brinley. He is also survived by his mother, Maryann Furgason and siblings, Barb, David, Jeff, Tim, Brian, and Brenda as well as many nieces and nephews who remember him fondly and celebrate the memories they all shared.

He was proceeded in death by his father, Raymond E McKinney, and sister Anne Marie Newsom, whom he missed dearly. Their memories remain alive in the hearts of those he leaves behind.

A celebration of life memorial will be held on August 1, 2025, from 3:00pm to 5:00pm at Newcomer Funeral Home in Indianapolis located at 925 E Hanna Ave. Friends and family are invited to join in celebrating Billy's life and the impact he had on all who knew him.
