Billy Muse, 57, passed away on July 18, 2026. He was born on September 11, 1968, and spent his life taking care of the people he loved, working hard, and never backing down from doing what needed to be done.
Billy was preceded in death by his grandmother, Lola Muse; his mother, Wanda Clouse; his stepfather, Jim Clouse; and his wife, Shelly. While their loss was something he carried with him, those who knew Billy also knew his strength and determination.
He leaves behind his three sons, Justin Muse, Adam Muse, and Nathaniel Muse. They were the center of his world, and he was proud to be their dad. Whether he was offering advice, lending a hand, or sharing a laugh, Billy was always there for them.
Billy is also survived by his brother, Teddy Green; his sister, Tammy Green; his Uncle William Muse; and Dawn Marie, along with many other family members and friends who will miss him deeply. He valued family, stayed loyal to the people he cared about, and never forgot where he came from.
Billy wasn't one for fancy words. He believed in showing up, working hard, helping others when he could, and standing by the people he loved. He had a stubborn streak, a good sense of humor, and the kind of grit that got him through life's toughest days. Those who knew him will remember his honesty, his willingness to lend a hand, and the way he stayed true to himself.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Billy's life on Wednesday, July 23, 2026. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 925 E. Hanna Ave., Indianapolis, IN 46227. A funeral service will follow from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow services at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Billy will be missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory lives on in his sons, his family, his friends, and in the stories they'll continue to tell for years to come.
