Brandy Dunbar (43) was born on November 21, 1982, in Indianapolis, IN to Tina Jeffers and Jerry Dunbar. On April 4, 2026 she was called home to rest in God’s loving arms.
Brandy was a beloved daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend whose presence brought light, laughter, and love to everyone around her. She was preceded in death by her mother, Tina, and sister, Amanda Joe.
Brandy dedicated many years of her life to helping others through her work. She began her career at CVS Health in 2000 as a cashier and through determination and hard work, earned her national certification as a pharmacy technician in 2019. She continued her journey at BioPlus Specialty Pharmacy, where she made a meaningful impact on the lives of those she served.
Above all, Brandy was an incredible mother who loved her children deeply and unconditionally. Her world revolved around them, and everything she did reflected that love. She was also a devoted daughter, serving as a caretaker for her father, with unwavering strength and compassion. Family meant everything to Brandy – she cherished her nieces and nephews and showed up for loved ones without hesitation, always ready to support, listen, and uplift.
Brandy had a vibrant spirit that could not be ignored. A true “girly girl,” she loved to dress to impress and carried herself with confidence and style. She had a way of making everyone laugh, smile, and feel good just by being herself. Whether it was through her humor, her honesty, or her unforgettable personality – including her famously drawn-out “biiiitch” – she left a lasting impression on everyone she met.
She loved to travel whenever she could, with the ocean holding a special place in her heart. She enjoyed listening to trap music, spending time gardening, and embracing life fully and unapologetically.
To cherish her loving memory, she is survived by her children: Desean Scott and Gavin Martinez; father Jerry Dunbar; brothers: Orville Rutherford, Michael Russell, Steven (Veronica) Dunbar; sisters: Mae Underwood, Amber and Elaina Cisneros; nieces and nephews: Myreesa and Devonte Underwood, Malia, Makayla and Makenzee Rutherford, Dakota, Desiray, Daijah and Dayna Russell, and Braylynn McDowell and a host of great-nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
