Brian "Dink" Thompson

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Brian Lamont Thompson, affectionately known to all as "Dink," who departed this life on May 4, 2026, at the age of 54.

Born on March 8, 1972, in Indianapolis, Indiana, Dink was a man whose presence filled every room he entered. A graduate of Arsenal Technical High School, he went on to earn his Bachelor's degree from Grace College — a testament to his drive and determination. In his most recent chapter, he proudly served as a truck driver for Rock Transport.

Those who knew Dink will tell you that life was never dull in his presence. He had a contagious smile and a laugh that could light up a room. He loved the game of poker — and you could always count on him to show up to the poker house with a pan of something good. Cooking was truly one of his love languages, and he took great pride in feeding the people he cared about. He cherished fishing and camping with his family, a great night out and a photo op to remember it by, bowling, and catching a movie at the drive-in. He loved to dance, and he never missed his monthly dates with his granddaughter, Germany — those moments were among his most treasured.

Dink had a gift for making people laugh and an even greater gift for making everyone around him feel loved.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory - his daughter, Alexis; son, Keenan; bonus daughters, Alyssa and Ashley; granddaughter, Germany; sister, Pashun, and brother-in-law, Ernie; nephew, Derrick; nieces, Jayla (Davon) and Raina; great-niece, Cyncere; great-nephew, Juelz; and devoted partner, Jackie.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Vicki L. Thompson, and his wife, Serita N. Thompson.

Dink, you were one of a kind — and the world is a little quieter without your laugh in it. May you rest in eternal peace.
