It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of Bryan Glinz, a beloved father, devoted partner, and cherished friend, who left us too soon on August 20, 2025, in Greenwood, Indiana. Born on August 28, 1970, in Joliet, Illinois, Bryan displayed a spirit of hard work, loyalty, and patience throughout his life. His dedication was evident in every aspect of his life, especially in his career as a Car Detailer at Enterprise, where he diligently worked for 22 years.

Bryan was not only a devoted employee but a devoted father, deeply proud of his children and stepchildren: Layla Leadlove, Bryanna, Olivia, and Keegan Glinz and Nathanial Berg, Courtney Whitkanack, Kaileigh Hixon, and Brayden Whitkanack. He found immense joy in attending his children’s sporting events, from cheer competitions to karate and track meets, always cheering them on with unwavering enthusiasm. These moments spent alongside his children were where Bryan truly thrived, nurturing their dreams and celebrating their accomplishments.

He shared a beautiful and loving bond with his significant other, Amy Whitkanack, for over 15 years. Family meant everything to Bryan. He was a supportive brother to his siblings, Diana and Sawn Glinz, Stone Schriefer, and Jeremy Mertes, and a loving father to a growing list of grandchildren, including Avery, Gatlin, and Benson Berg, and Arelia Greathouse and Greyson Bindel. Bryan cherished his precious role in their lives, often reminiscing about the laughter and love shared among them.

His warmth extended to his nieces, Ashley and Abreana Glinz, and his nephew, Avante Gee, as well as his three great nieces and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. They all knew Bryan as a patient, helpful, and devoted presence in their lives, one whose memory will linger in every heart he touched.

Bryan's legacy is a testament to his kind spirit and enduring love. He was a member of the Christ United Methodist Church of Indianapolis, where his faith provided him with strength and community throughout his life. His love for camping was yet another thread in the fabric of his existence that brought him peace and happiness.

Preceding Bryan in death were his beloved mother, Donna Cleveland, and his grandmother, Gertrude Hoover. They welcomed him with open arms, undoubtedly watching over him as he navigated through life with grace and love.

A memorial service to honor Bryan’s remarkable life and the love he shared with those around him will be held on September 6, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Christ Indianapolis United Methodist Church, located at 8540 US 31 S, Indianapolis, IN 46227. Friends and family are invited to gather together to celebrate a life well lived and to share in the memories that will forever remain etched in their hearts.

Bryan Glinz was a man who epitomized the qualities of love, care, and devotion. His spirit will forever be missed but never forgotten, living on in the stories we tell and the memories we cherish. Rest in peace, dear Bryan; your impact will echo in the lives you touched, always and forever.
