Cheryl Hamilton, 70, of Indianapolis, passed away on August 27, 2025. She was born on June 7, 1955, to Anita Seiler.
In her younger years, Cheryl was known for her sharp wit and wonderful sense of humor. She loved telling jokes and making those around her laugh. Her playful side often came out during family poker nights, where her quick wit and laughter made the games even more memorable.
Throughout her life, Cheryl found joy in simple pleasures. She loved gardening, flowers, and browsing yard sales. She enjoyed cooking, often preparing meals that brought her family together. She was also spiritual and, when her health allowed, enjoyed attending church. Cheryl liked watching scary movies too, often sharing them with loved ones.
Cheryl’s love for animals was unmatched, especially for her cat, Mr. Kitty, who, with a personality all his own, only answered to “Meow Meow.”
Most of all, Cheryl loved her family. Time spent with her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren brought her the greatest happiness.
Cheryl is survived by her children, Creg Hamilton and Christina Hamilton; grandchildren, Gage, Xandria, Lexie, Creg, and Colton; great-grandchildren, Lincoln, Emmett, Karter, Aolani, Chase, Chanctyn, Leo, Layliana, and Aaliyah; the father of her children, Victor Hamilton; siblings Linda, Gary, and Kelly; and nephews Richard Hamilton and Chet Hamilton.
