Christine Klave, a beloved figure in her community, passed away on January 9, 2026, in Franklin, Indiana, at the age of 76. She was born on November 5, 1949, in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she developed a strong-willed personality that endeared her to all who knew her.

Christine dedicated many years of her career to the Professional Licensing Agency for the State of Indiana, where her brutally honest nature and unwavering loyalty were apparent. She was admired for her professional demeanor and her ability to connect with colleagues and the public alike.

Outside her professional life, Christine was a loving family member and true friend. She had a generous heart and a vibrant spirit, which shone through in her many hobbies and interests. A lover of music, she had a special fondness for Henry Lee Summer and found joy in activities like diamond art. Her passion for collecting memorabilia was evident in her extensive collection of Coca-Cola, Marilyn Monroe, and Elvis items.

Christine is survived by her loving family, including her children, Annette Hutchings, Tina Hardcastle, Chet (Marci) Klave and Shawn (Charity) Klave, her cherished grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren. In total, she leaves behind 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren who will carry her memory forward. She also had a close bond with her 13 siblings and many friends who she considered family, each of whom will miss her dearly.

She is predeceased by her parents, Clyde and Georgia Carr, as well as her siblings Darrell, Jesse, Billy, Cathy, Raleigh, and Keith. Her granddaughter, Savannah Klave, also preceded her in death.

Christine Klave’s legacy of love, strength, and friendship will remain with all who were fortunate enough to know her. As they remember her spirit, those she leaves behind will find comfort in the lasting impact she made in their lives.
