Christine McDaniel, born on June 23, 1938, in Harlan, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on November 10, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Her life was a tapestry of dedication, love, and creativity, woven with moments that will forever be cherished by those who knew her.
Christine devoted her professional life to serving others as a team leader in housekeeping at St. Francis Hospital, where she touched the lives of many with her caring spirit and commitment to excellence. Her strong work ethic and compassion were evident in every task she undertook, and she was respected and admired by her colleagues.
Outside of her career, Christine found joy in various hobbies and interests, especially knitting and spending quality time with her family. She held a profound love for her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who were the joy of her life. They brought her boundless happiness, and her role as a grandmother was one she cherished deeply.
Christine is survived by her loving daughters, Kathy A. Barlow and Sandra K. Harp, and her grandchildren, William J. Barlow, Charles R. Barlow, Melissa A. Barlow, Damien Harp, and Christie. She also leaves behind a cherished legacy in her numerous grandchildren: Christopher, Abigail, Gabriella, Cameran, Jordan, Harleigh, Presliegh, Myleigh, Rayleigh, Kristie, Cala, and Oliver. Christine's sister, Evelyn Middleton, also survives her, adding another thread to the family fabric Christine valued so much.
The community is invited to join in celebrating Christine's life during visitation and funeral services, which will be held on November 18, 2025. Visitation will take place from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 4:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home, located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN.
Christine McDaniel will be remembered for her nurturing spirit, her tireless dedication to her family, and the love she shared with all around her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, as they remember a woman who exemplified kindness and love in every aspect of her life.
