.Today we celebrate the life and legacy of Constante Baniaga Sr., 66, passed away on March 7, 2026, surrounded by family in Indianapolis, Indiana.
He was born in Bacarra Ilocos Norte, Philippines, to Andres Baniaga and Francisca Baniaga (Dagdagan).Constante began his education at Nambaran Elementary School and later graduated from Bacarra National Comprehensive High School in the Philippines He went on to attend the Philippine Maritime Institute College in Manila, Philippines, where he completed a couple years of college before devoting his life to his children and his career.
After attending college, Constante moved to Hawaii, there he started a family began building his life and further and finally settling in Indianapolis, Indiana with his family.Constante was a hardworking man who spent over 40 years working as a screen printer, dedicating much of his life to his craft. Through his hard work and perseverance, he built a life centered around providing for and supporting his family.
He was a devoted father and grandfather who cherished time with his loved ones. Constante carried the strength and pride of his Filipino heritage with him throughout his life and was known for the deep love he had for his family. Known as a stern and strong man, he believed in discipline, responsibility, and standing firm in his values. In his free time, he enjoyed going on bike rides, something that brought him peace and joy. He also had a true green thumb and loved caring for his plants, often treating them like they were his babies.
He is survived by his ex wife and life long friend Bridgett Baniaga his children: Denia Baniaga (Laquana Green), Constante Baniaga Jr. (Sarah Noblitt), Christopher Baniaga Sr. (Jaila Baniaga), and Joshua Baniaga. He also leaves behind his beloved grandchildren: Constance Baniaga, Javien Harvey, Christopher Baniaga Jr., Davon Baniaga, Kailani Baniaga, and Sincere Baniaga. Also his siblings Rafael Baniaga (Jovita), Rosario Baniaga (Ana Lisa); Carmelita Lapitan (Rey) and Lorna Baniaga-Lee (Ivan). Constante also leaves behind his beloved pup, Riley, who brought him companionship and joy.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Andres Baniaga and Francisca Baniaga and his brother Moises Baniaga Sr (Aurora)
A funeral service will be held Saturday, March 14 at 4 pm at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals, & Receptions located at 925 East Hanna Avenue Indianapolis 46227. Friends may gather for visitation from 1 pm until the time of the service.
Constante will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his love for his family, and the legacy he leaves behind through his children and grandchildren. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
The family asks that he be remembered not for the way his life ended, but for the way he lived and the love he shared with those around him. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him ,May he rest in peace. Amen."
