Indianapolis

Deborah Sue Kinney, 72, passed away Saturday, November 30, 2024 at Westside Village Nursing Center. Born on September 10, 1952, in Indianapolis, Indiana, she was the daughter of Francis Eugene Edwards and Donna Rebecca Reed.

Deborah worked as a supervisor for L.S. Ayres and later worked as a school bus driver. Upon her retirement, she continued to devote her time and talents to her family, friends, and faith.

Throughout her life, Deborah found joy and strength in her relationship with God. She attended Irvington Pilgrim Holiness Church, and she was often seen with her Bible open, delighting in the word of the Lord. Her love for gospel music filled her days with hymns of praise, while she worked at solving her puzzle books. Deborah cherished her relationship with Jesus and loved sharing her faith and convictions with anyone willing to listen.

Deborah is survived by her beloved sister, Linda Jones; her aunt, Sharon Keller; a cousin, Herb Sturgis; and other cherished cousins.

She was preceded in death by her dear parents; her step-father, Jack N. Reed; and her baby brother, Roger Edwards.

A celebration of life in Deborah’s honor will be held at a later date at Irvington Pilgrim Holiness church. Please refer back to this page for future updates.

Let us celebrate the life of Deborah, who now walks with the angels, embraced by the love of our Lord. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering faith will be profoundly missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.
