Donna Kay Weaver, 55, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, October 11, 2025, at her home. She was born on May 25, 1970, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to the late Cheryl Kay (Hardyman) Bear and John Waggoner.
Donna was a proud graduate of Morton Memorial High School, where she participated in the ROTC program and earned recognition across the state, placing second and bringing home medals for her accomplishments.
Donna was a woman who loved deeply and worked hard her entire life, especially for her children. No matter the circumstances, she always made sure they had everything they needed—if it meant she had to go without, she gladly did. Her love for her family was steady and selfless, and she took pride in the people her children became.
When she found time for herself, Donna enjoyed life’s quieter moments. She loved to read, especially romance novels, and could spend hours working on puzzles. She enjoyed watching Expedition Unknown and the History Channel, and she had a deep fascination with World War history. Her faith was important to her, and when her health allowed, she found comfort in attending church.
Donna is survived by her daughter, Emily Green; her son, Justin Green; and favorite son-in-law Bobert Peterson.
She was preceded in passing by her father John Waggoner; and her mother Cheryl Bear.
