Edward L. Curran Sr., affectionately known as Ed, passed away peacefully on May 5, 2026. Born on February 13, 1952, Ed lived a life marked by devotion, humor, and an unwavering sense of connection to those around him. For 42 years, he built a remarkable career in floor covering, a profession he embraced wholeheartedly after graduating, finding both purpose and pride in his work.

Ed was the kind of man you couldn’t help but like—a true good guy. Known for his wit, his entertaining stories, and yes, even his stubbornness, Ed never met a stranger. His warmth and charm left lasting impressions on everyone he encountered, making any gathering brighter with his presence.

Among Ed’s greatest joys was his family. He was a loving husband to Sheila, with whom he shared an extraordinary 56 years of marriage—a testament to their steadfast bond and mutual devotion. Together, they built a loving home and raised two sons, Eric (Anna) and Eddie (Sam). Their family blossomed further with the arrival of grandchildren Jarrett, Eddie, Arianna, Ruby, and Eli, who were the light of Ed’s life.

Ed’s roots ran deep, grounded by the memories of his parents, Charles and Ruby, who have gone before him, and sustained by the loving presence of his siblings Dixie and Wayne. Alongside a broad circle of extended family and friends, Ed’s life was rich with laughter, companionship, and love.

A passionate enthusiast of old cars, Ed found joy and reflection in the timeless beauty and stories each vehicle carried. This hobby, like so much in his life, was infused with character and personal meaning.

Ed often said he had everything he needed here—and truly, he did. With a fulfilling career, a family that adored him, and a legacy of kindness and warmth, he leaves behind more than memories; he leaves a lasting imprint on the hearts of all who knew him.
