Edward V. Haney, born on September 17, 1970, in St. Clair Shores, Michigan, passed away on November 13, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was a cherished member of the community, known for his vibrant personality and infectious spirit.
Edward dedicated thirty years of his life to the construction industry before retiring, where he made lasting connections with those around him. His presence was felt wherever he went; he was the life of the party, a true attention grabber who never failed to make his mark in a room full of people. Edward had a love for dancing and storytelling, often captivating friends and family with tales from his life and adventures.
Outside of work, Edward found joy in outdoor activities, embracing the beauty of nature. He enjoyed cooking and was known among friends as a bit of a "survivalist," always ready to take on the next challenge that life presented. His enthusiasm for life resonated with all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
Edward leaves behind his son, Taylor (Tamra) Haney; his brother, Jimmy (JoAnn) Haney; and his sister, Lori Ree, as well as several step-siblings, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends who will carry fond memories of him. He is preceded in death by his parents, Edsel Haney and Patricia Wilmoth; his step-father, Kenneth Wilmoth; and his brother, Mark Wilmoth.
His legacy of laughter, love, and unforgettable stories will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who were fortunate enough to share in his life. Edward V. Haney will be dearly missed.
