Eleanor Woodruff, a beloved matriarch known for her nurturing spirit and the immense love she held for her family, passed away peacefully in Indianapolis, Indiana, on October 12, 2025, at the age of 72. Born on December 3, 1952, in the same city, Eleanor's life was a testament to the joys and challenges of family, and she took great pride in the legacy she built over the years.
Eleanor's devotion to her family was undoubtedly her proudest accomplishment. She is survived by her children, Jennifer Luna (Kojack) McIntosh, and Jerry (Stacie) Luna. As a grandmother, she cherished moments spent with her grandchildren, Danyle, Kyle, Layla, Tiffany, Ricky, Brian (also known as Brent), and Chasity Luna. Eleanor's love extended to her great-grandchildren, whom she adored deeply: Destiny, Nalah, Jordan, Nyleah, Kathy (also known as Nevaeha), Josh, Ricky Jr., Derek, Tristan, Khloe, Johnny, Tony, Bentley, Michael, Kaydence, and Kingston Luna. The family is further blessed by the presence of her great-great-grandchild, Nalani Jae.
Eleanor also leaves behind her beloved brother, Ed Brickley, who shared in many cherished memories throughout their lives.
Eleanor was preceded in death by her loving parents, Ethel and Spike Brickley, as well as her siblings: brother Billy Brickley and sisters Alma Kincaid, Mary Hawkins, Linda Brickley, and Penny Brickley. Additionally, she mourns the loss of her granddaughter Ashley Marie Luna, whose memory will forever be treasured by all who knew her.
Throughout her life, Eleanor cultivated bonds that enriched her world. Her warmth and generosity were felt by all who knew her, making each family gathering a joyous celebration of love and connection. She will be profoundly missed but lovingly remembered by her family as the guiding light and heart of their family tree.
