Listen to Obituary

Eula Mae Harrison, beloved mother and cherished member of her community, passed peacefully from this world on August 17, 2026, at the age of 93. Born on November 12, 1932, Eula lived a life marked by kindness, loyalty, and quiet strength—a life devoted first and foremost to her family and her faith.

Throughout her long journey, Eula Mae carried a profound love for her family and for Jesus, a love that was the very center of her being. Her deep, abiding faith found its truest expression in her devotion to First United Evangelical Church, where she poured her heart into service and fellowship with her church family. No matter the season of her life, Eula could be found lending a hand, offering a listening ear, or simply sharing a warm smile with all who crossed her path within those sanctuary walls.

Her home was a haven, where she loved listening to southern gospel music. She loved watching her garden grow and the sweet laughter of loved ones gathered together. Eula was rarely idle; she took immense pride in her sewing—each stitch a testament to her care and creativity. Her gardens, lovingly tended, flourished under her nurturing hands, just as her family grew strong, surrounded by loving attention and unwavering support. Shopping outings with family were always special, marked by genuine delight in simple joys.

Those closest to Eula Mae remember her as the heart of the Harrison family, the one who quietly ensured that each member, from youngest to oldest, was seen, heard, and loved. She is survived by her devoted sons, Bobby (Marilyn), Kirby (Donna), Donald (Shannon), and David (Cheryl) Harrison, her son-in-law Jim Yager, her daughter-in-law Sandy Harrison, and a cherished niece-daughter, Judy Crawley. She leaves behind a sister, a brother, several sister-in-laws, a brother-in-law, 24 grandchildren, 44 great-grandchildren, and 13 great-great-grandchildren. Their lives have been shaped by her wisdom, love, patience, and steadfast embrace.

Eula is preceded in passing by beloved husband Bob; her daughters Lana Tharp and Janet Yager, her son Jimmy Harrison; and her grandsons Robert Reese and Kirby Jr. While their absence was deeply felt in her final years, Eula found comfort in memories and abiding hope in her faith.

Eula Mae Harrison’s life was, above all, one of service and love—an example for all blessed to have known her. Her legacy endures in the traditions she cultivated, the gardens she grew, and the family she held so dear. May she rest in the eternal peace she so richly deserves, and may her memory continue to shine brightly in the hearts of all who love her.
