Frederick Clarence Holmes, affectionately known as Freddy, passed away on April 24, 2026, in Indianapolis, Indiana. Born on August 31, 1984, in New Orleans, Louisiana, Freddy lived a life marked by kindness, love, and a spirit that touched everyone he met.
Freddy was truly a jack of all trades, a man whose talents and skills were as diverse as his warmhearted nature. Those who knew him remember him as an old soul with a heart of gold—sweet, kind, and loving, always one of a kind. His passion for the outdoors was evident in his love for fishing and nature, pursuits that brought him peace and joy throughout his life.
Freddy’s spiritual life was important to him. He was a devoted member of Mt. Pleasant Christian Church, where he was baptized and lived his faith with sincerity and humility. His values shone through in the way he treated family, friends, and community.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Holly Holmes, and their cherished children, Marilyn Holmes and Marley Holmes. He was also the loving son of Henry Holmes, and he is remembered fondly by several brothers and sisters who carry forward his legacy. Freddy was preceded in death by his mother, Marilyn Holmes.
Frederick Clarence Holmes’s legacy is one of a gentle and giving spirit. He brought light and warmth to those around him and will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him. His memory will forever reside in the hearts of his family and friends, a testament to a life well-lived.
