Gayle Boyles, a beloved figure in her community, passed away peacefully on January 21, 2026, at the age of 88. Born on April 4, 1937, Gayle lived a rich and full life, marked by her determined spirit and an unwavering love for her family and friends.
A dedicated professional, Gayle served as a Supervisor for Mr. Dan's until her retirement. She approached her work with the same tenacity and commitment that defined her personality—hard-headed and stubborn when necessary, yet immensely loving, outspoken, and honest. Gayle’s assertiveness was balanced by a warm heart that endeared her to many.
Outside of her career, Gayle was an avid bowler and enjoyed the esteemed title of a bowling hall of famer, a testament to her skill and dedication to the sport. She was an enthusiastic fan of Indiana University and cherished all types of sports. Many fond memories were made as she shared her passion for athletics with her grandchildren, engaging in spirited discussions about both college and professional games, particularly those involving the Colts. In her leisure, Gayle also enjoyed gambling, adding excitement to her already vibrant life.
Gayle is survived by her loving family, including her son Leslie Parman, and her daughters, Gaylene Parman and Ronda (Dave Smith) Haragan, her grandchildren Shawnita (Robbie) Patrick, Dawnell (Thomas) Walton Black, Crystal (Sam) Kunin, Jake (Phyllis Trosper) Parman, Yaz Parman, Meggan Kelly (Andrew Drake), 5 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren. Together, they carry forward the legacy of love, strength, and passion that defined her life.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Farrell Mullins, and her father, Cecil Moneyhan, her brother Vance Moneyhan, as well as many loved aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. The memory of Gayle Boyles will continue to resonate in the hearts of all who knew her, marked by her unwavering spirit and love for those around her.
