Hilda dedicated her career to shaping future talents as an instructor at the Midwest Bartending School. Her passion for this art was complemented by her entrepreneurial spirit, as she and her late husband, Ira Buttz, owned and operated Hoffa's Bar, a beloved establishment that served as a gathering place for friends and community members alike.
Beyond her professional accomplishments, Hilda cherished moments spent outdoors, finding joy in camping and fishing. These hobbies offered her a profound connection with nature and provided countless cherished memories with loved ones.
Hilda leaves behind a legacy of love and family. She is survived by her son, Kevin Hughes; grandson, Alex Hughes; granddaughter, Nikki Sigwalt; and her sister, Glenda Calvert. She also leaves behind many nieces and nephews who will remember her fondly.
She was preceded in death by her devoted husband, Ira Buttz, who was a significant part of her life, as well as her parents, Billy Millard Hughes and Nellie Beatrice Hughes. Hilda also joins her siblings in eternal rest: Pearl Bailey, Dorothy Flintcraft, Ed Hughes, Nina Pate, and Billy Hughes; as well as her great-grandson, Brady Raymond Edward Hughes.
