Jack Burdette

Jack Bennie Burdette, 87, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away peacefully at home on April 26, 2026. He was born on March 28, 1939, in Rockcastle County, Kentucky, to Coleman and Shirley Burdette.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers, Kenny, Tom, Terry, Doug, and Ted; and his sister, Charlotte.

He is lovingly remembered by his devoted wife, Terri (Bundy); his children, Rhonda, Tammy, Jacki (Troy), Josh (Kim), and Jason (Sarah); his brother-in-law, Junior (Carol); as well as many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Jack worked as a union painter for many years before retiring. He was known for his strong work ethic and willingness to lend a hand, always ready to fix things around the house or help others in need. He had a passion for buying and repairing cars, and he enjoyed watching old westerns, car auctions, UFC, baseball, and football.

Above all, Jack cherished time spent with his family. He was deeply loved and respected by his neighbors and all who knew him, and he will be greatly missed. In Christ, we have the assurance that we will be reunited with him again.

Jack’s family will celebrate his life on May 16th from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM at 940 Wild Indigo Ln., Indianapolis, Indiana 46227.
