Jacques Garescher

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Jacques Garescher, a beloved husband, father, and skilled mechanic, who left this world on May 11, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on July 14, 1954, Jacques lived a life full of passion and warmth, leaving a lasting impression on all who knew him.

Jacques dedicated much of his working life to his career as a mechanic, where he found joy in fixing cars and sharing his knowledge with others. He possessed a natural talent for conversation, often engaging friends and family in discussions about any topic that piqued his interest. His presence in any conversation was valued, as he was known for his genuine enthusiasm and the ability to connect with people from all walks of life.

Beyond his professional life, Jacques enjoyed a variety of hobbies that enriched his spirit. He cherished long walks along the beach, where he could immerse himself in nature’s beauty. Additionally, his adventurous palate led him to explore new restaurants, always eager to try different cuisines. His love for working on cars extended beyond his career; it was a passion that allowed him to express his creativity and ingenuity.

Jacques's family was a source of immense pride and joy throughout his life. He had the privilege of marrying his beloved wife, Bertha, on September 29, 2011, in Miami, Florida—a milestone that highlighted their deep commitment to one another. Together, they created a loving home for their children, Bertaud and Carla Garescher, who brought him immeasurable happiness and fulfillment.

Jacques's legacy will continue to live on through his family, including his supportive spouse, Bertha, and his children, Bertaud and Carla.

A visitation in Jacques's honor will be held on May 24, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM, both taking place at the Newcomer Funeral Home located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227.

He will be deeply missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing him, and though he has departed from this life, his spirit will always remain in the hearts of his family and friends.
