James Cornell Jefferson

Indianapolis - James Cornell Jefferson, 65, passed away Saturday, August 12, 2023. He was born December 27, 1957 in Ratio, AR to Verline Carter Turner and the late Oliver Jefferson. He was employed in the steel industry where he served in manufacturing. He was baptized in 1972 at Antioch Baptist Church by Rev. Radford.

James was preceded in death by his father, Oliver Jefferson; sister, Linda Jefferson; and brother, Willie Jefferson. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife, Cynthia Jefferson; parents, Clarence, Sr. and Verline Carter Turner; children: LaJuana Michelle Jefferson Ramsey, Yanae Juanice Washington, Kristina Mobley and Kevin J. Kiefer II; siblings: Larry Jefferson, Freddie Jefferson, Oliver J. Jefferson, Dennis Jefferson, Michelle Ford, Wayne Turner, Debbie Turner, Clarence Turner, Todd Turner, Lisa Turner, Teresa Bell and Natalie Turner; 6 grandchildren; 4 great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and devoted friends.
