Jason Dewayne Decker, a cherished member of his family and community, passed away on April 23, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana. He was born on January 6, 1974, in Bristol, Tennessee, and was a proud graduate of Cathedral High School, where he completed his education in the Class of 1992.

Throughout his life, Jason was known for his kindness and generosity, qualities that endeared him to many. He had a passion for various hobbies, including fishing, playing poker, and tattooing, which allowed him to express his creativity and connect with others. His love for life was evident in everything he did.

Jason was a devoted father, deeply loving his son, Shane Cross, and proudly supporting his nieces, Reegan Joseph, Lillianna Joseph, and Oliva Decker, as well as his nephew, Riley Decker. He took great joy in his relationships with his family and cherished the time spent with his beloved dogs.

He is survived by his mother, Brenda Price; his brother, Shane Decker; and his sister, April (Kevin) Decker-Joseph. The loss of Jason is also felt by the memory of his late son, Jason Cross, and his father, Michael Decker, who have preceded him.

A visitation will be held in his honor on May 3, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Newcomer Funeral Home located at 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227. This will be followed by a memorial service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the same location.

Jason Dewayne Decker leaves behind a legacy of love and compassion that will be cherished by all who knew him. He will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by his family and friends.
