Jeremiah “Miah” Christopher Grider, 50, of Indianapolis, was born February 5, 1976 and passed away on February 14, 2026.
Jeremiah was a graduate of Franklin Central High School (94) and was very proud of playing trombone in the Franklin Central marching band. He dedicated 27 years of service as a machinist with Rolls-Royce where he took great pride in his work and built lasting friendships throughout his career.
Above all, Jeremiah was a devoted father to his three beloved children — Aaron(13), Alex (14), and Abby (18)-(Ethan). His children were the center of his world and his greatest joy. He shared 24 years of marriage and parenthood with his former wife, Karen Grider, and in recent years shared his life with Angel Shearer.
Jeremiah had a passion for competition and fun. He was an avid pool player and winner of several tournaments. He loved the thrill of roller coasters and was an enthusiastic baseball card collector — a hobby he especially enjoyed sharing with his son, Alex. Jeremiah embraced life fully and will be remembered for his deep love for his children, his loyalty to family, and his zest for living. He was preceded in death by his birth mother, Donna Bupp, and his father, Howard Grider.
He is survived by his children; his mother, Janet Grider; his brother, Scott Grider; his sister, Rhonda Dilley (Russ); his brothers, Glen Grider (Tia) and Bret Grider (Cindy); and numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish his memory.
A funeral service honoring Jeremiah's life will be held Saturday, February 21 at 2 pm at CrossLife Baptist Church located at 7030 East Stop 11 Road Indianapolis 46259. He will be laid to rest following the service at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens. Friends may gather for visitation on Friday, February 20 from 4 pm to 8 pm, also at the church.
