Joan Nelson, 75, passed away peacefully on August 21,2026 surrounded by her children.
Family Legacy
Joan was the devoted wife of her late husband, Bud, with whom she shared a beautiful life filled with deep love and companionship. She was the proud mother of three children and the cherished grandmother of six. Her greatest joy and favorite "hobby" was showering her six great-grandchildren with endless love, patience, and affection.
Biography and Passions
Born on October 23,1950 to James and Belle Bailey, Joan lived a life full of grace and devotion. Whether she was playing with the youngest generation or offering wise words to the oldest, her heart belonged entirely to her family.
Survivors
Children: Tammy Bailey (Missy", Amy St. John (Bruce), and Ronald Kendall
Grandchildren: Tyler Kendall (Meagan), Ericka Hubble (Cody), Emily Evans (Nathan), Devon Kendall, Ethan Kendall, and Joshua St. John
Great-Grandchildren: Lilah Kendall, Emmett Kendall, Eleanor Evans, Josephine Hubble, Elias Kendall, and Cooper Hubble
Brothers: Rick Bailey (Bobby), Russell Bailey, and Ronald Bailey
Sisters: Joy Canter (Jack) and Linda Hoff (Eddie)
Extended Family: Several loving nieces and nephews
Joan was preceded in death by her loving husband, Bud; her parents, James and Belle; her brother, Danny Bailey; and her sister, Patricia White.
Services
In accordance with Joan's wishes, there will be no public funeral. A private service will be held for her children and grandchildren to celebrate her life and legacy together. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to the American Cancer Society.
