Beech Grove – John Eldon Moore, 74, passed away Monday, April 20, 2015.
Mr. Moore was born March 14, 1941 in Anderson, In. He was an honorably discharged veteran of the United States Army where he served in Vietnam. Mr. Moore was employed as a corrections officer at Pendleton Corrections Facility for eleven years. He retired in 1998. He was a Kentucky Colonel and a member of the Blue River Long Rifles.
Mr. Moore was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Thelma Moore; daughter, Becky; son, Randy; and granddaughter, Lyrik. He is survived by his beloved wife of 18 years, Barbara Moore; son, Keith; daughters, Amy, Misti, Linda and Kelly; sister, Norma Jean; 13 grandchildren; 20 great grandchildren; and many other loving family members and friends.
Mr. Moore's family will receive friends Friday, April 24, 2015, from 3-4 pm at First Christian Church at 75 North 10th Avenue in Beech Grove. A celebration of his life will follow at 4 pm at the Church.
