Joyce Heady

Joyce Heady, a beloved figure known for her quiet strength and loving nature, passed away on April 1, 2025, in Indianapolis, Indiana, where she was born on July 20, 1953. Throughout her life, Joyce exemplified warmth and kindness, qualities that endeared her to family and friends alike.

Joyce had a passion for crocheting and embraced the world of arts and crafts with enthusiasm, often creating beautiful items for those she loved. Her fondness for stuffed animals brought joy not only to her but also to the many children in her life, reflecting her nurturing spirit. A culinary enthusiast, Joyce delighted in trying different foods, embracing new tastes and experiences.

She is survived by her loving brothers, Jimmy (Cheryl) Heady, Gary (Tammy) Heady, and Michael Heady, along with several nieces and nephews who cherished their time with her. Joyce’s family was central to her life, and her love for them was evident in all she did.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Gladys (Hockersmith) Heady, as well as her siblings: Charles Heady Jr., Patricia (Heady) Nelson, David Heady, Tommy Heady, Ruth (Heady) Warner, Donnie Heady, Helen Heady, Georgie Heady, Nancy (Heady) Robinson, Danny Heady, Barbara (Heady) Miller, Larry Heady, and Mary Jane Heady, and Edward "Eddie" Heady. Their memory remains an integral part of her legacy.
