With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Julian Lyn Turner II, lovingly known as Jay-Tee, who took his final rest on July 2, 2025. Born on October 28, 1978, to Candace (Carman) Foster and Julian Turner, Julian brought with him a spark of life that burned brightly through every season of his time with us.
Julian grew up surrounded by a large and loving family, including his siblings John Farrar, Gene Evans, Donald Foster, Charles Foster, Jaclyn (Turner) Richardson, and Adam Foster—each of whom held a special place in his heart.
He was a proud graduate of Manual High School, Class of 1998. Pursuing his passion for cars and hands-on work, Julian later graduated from Lincoln Tech in 2004 with a certification in automotive technology, having completed 1,560 hours of training.
Julian was a devoted father above all else. He welcomed his first son, Austin Michael Tyree, in June 2004 with Jennifer, and later his second son, Joseph Lyn Turner, in September 2010 with Amanda, whom he was married to for six years. Being a dad brought Julian his greatest joy, and he poured his heart into creating fun, meaningful memories with his boys.
A hard-working man through and through, Julian took pride in every job he held—from Kroger’s dairy department, to Goodyear, Comcast, and most recently, Kelly Box Co. in maintenance. He never let life’s ups and downs shake his dedication to providing for his family.
Julian had a wild and joyful spirit. He loved meeting new people, collecting unique items, and experiencing all life had to offer. Whether he was at a concert, car show, wrestling event, or amusement park, Julian brought energy and laughter with him. He lit up every 4th of July with fireworks and celebrated Halloween like no other, always donning the best costumes and hosting unforgettable parties.
Though his time was cut short, Julian lived fully and without apology. He laughed loudly, loved fiercely, and never missed a moment to have fun or make someone smile. Above all, he loved his children deeply and cherished every second spent with them.
Julian is survived by his sons, Austin Tyree and Joseph Turner; his parents, Candace (Donald) Foster and Julian Turner; his siblings, John (Rachel) Farrar, Gene Evans, Donald (Christina) Foster Jr., Charles (Beverly) Foster, Jaclyn Richardson, and Adam Foster; his brother-in-law Tony Richardson; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and friends who will carry his memory forward.
He now joins those who went before him: his grandparents Norma and Jack Carman and Clarence and Deva Turner; his aunts Janet Linde and Darlene Huber; uncles Vincent Huber and others; his father-in-law Steve Anderson; and several beloved cousins.
A celebration of Julian’s life will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 E Hanna Ave, Indianapolis, IN 46227.
Julian’s light may be gone from this world, but it will continue to shine in the memories of all who knew and loved him.
