Karen Reuter, born June 3, 1953, passed away on January 13, 2026. She earned an Associate’s degree in Medical Assisting and worked as a phlebotomist. Karen was outgoing and talkative and never met a stranger. She enjoyed conversation and was known for spending many hours playing the card game Hearts. Though she had a complex personality, she remained deeply social and engaged with those around her.
Karen faced mental health challenges throughout her life. Her way of coping with those challenges sometimes made her difficult to understand, but she loved in the way she knew how and cared deeply for her family.
She is survived by her four children, ten grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, as well as five sisters.
She was preceded in passing by her husband, Steven Reuter; her father, Lewis Brown; her mother, Nellie Thomas; and her brother, Steven Brown.
