Listen to Obituary

Kathy McIntyre, 56, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 12, 2025. She was born on October 2, 1968, to Norman and Barbara Goodman.

Kathy lived her life with strength, faith, and honesty. She was never afraid to speak her mind, and those who knew her loved her straightforward nature and sense of humor. At her core, Kathy was deeply family-oriented. She loved being a mother and grandmother, and nothing made her happier than time spent talking with her children and watching her grandchildren grow.

Kathy enjoyed the simple joys of life. She loved to cook for her family, head out fishing, or pack up for camping trips. She found peace in long drives through the country and pride in keeping her home clean and welcoming. In quieter moments, she could often be found watching her favorite shows, especially General Hospital, Swamp People, and Storage Wars. She also had a playful side, enjoying movies and video games—most often Crash Bandicoot and Candy Crush. Her sons fondly remember how often she played, so much so that the game’s theme music seemed to always be playing in the background of their lives.

Her faith carried her through life’s challenges, and she leaned on it often as a source of strength and comfort. Those around her knew her as someone who would always tell the truth, lend a hand when needed, and create memories out of everyday moments.

Kathy is survived by her children, Steven, Micheal, and Matthew; her grandchildren, Jacob, Thomas, and Austin; her siblings, Russell Goodman, Karen Goodman, and Wayne Goodman; her fiancé, John Hale; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in passing by her parents, Norman and Barbara Goodman, and her siblings David, Jeff, Sherry, and Gary.
