Kim Ellen Kinnick, born on September 12, 1961, in Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on April 30, 2025, in her beloved hometown. Kim was quiet and reserved, but she was also a strong woman. If there was a task to be done, she would figure it out and get it done herself. She was sweet, kind, and such a good person at heart. She was someone to look up to, to emulate and a great role model for her family and friends.
Most importantly, Kim loved her own family with all her heart. She is survived by her partner in life for 44 years, Steven "Chuck" Parsley; her beloved sons, Eric Steven Kinnick and Andrew Thomas Parsley; her grandchildren, Greyson Carter Parsley and Jeremy Spencer Gentry; her siblings, Catherine Kinnick, Gregory Kinnick, Lisa Kinnick Hutchings, Julie (Anthony) Synesael, and Tracy Kinnick, along with her brother-in-law, Michael Cline.
Her love for her family was selfless and she always put their needs ahead of herself.
Kim was athletic, artistic, and funny. She loved playing basketball and despite her small size, she had a mean three-point shot that couldn't be stopped. She loved music, especially Bob Seger. She also enjoyed shooting pool, doing crossword puzzles, watching the Colts games, and Wheel of Fortune. She also enjoyed going on long walks with her sister and best friend, Cathi.
In celebration of her life and the impact she had on the world around her, family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on May 10, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM, followed by a funeral service at 1:00 PM. Afterward, she will be laid to rest at New Crown Cemetery, 2101 Churchman Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46203.
Although the last few months of her life were the most difficult for her, she remained the strong woman she has always been. Kim Ellen Kinnick's life was filled with love, laughter, and unwavering spirit. She will be profoundly missed but forever cherished.
