Kimberly Johns, born on August 27, 1961, in Salem, Ohio, passed away in Indianapolis, Indiana, on December 20, 2025. She was a beloved mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend who touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit and caring heart.
A woman of many interests, Kimberly was deeply determined to dive further and further into her family’s history, always eager to uncover more stories, connections, and details about those who came before her. She was an avid recipe collector, saving countless recipes with plans to try them or share them with others. Kimberly was quick to reach out with an “I love you” or a simple “I was thinking about you today,” a small gesture that meant so much to the people she loved. She was known for her playful nature, often pushing people’s buttons—always with love—and she truly cherished the laughter and closeness that came from those moments.
Kimberly cherished her family above all else. She is survived by her children, Chris Johns, Tabitha White, and Kevin White Jr., as well as her beloved grandchildren, Roman Johns and Karissa Ventura. Kimberly will also be remembered fondly by her life partner, Steven Dale, who shared many wonderful moments with her. She leaves behind her siblings, Shelley Wray, Dwayne Johns, Jackie Ferrell, Jeri Nelis Johnson, and Michael Diefenbaugh, along with several nieces and nephews, all of whom carry pieces of her spirit and kindness.
Kimberly was preceded in death by her father, Robert Johns, and her grandparents, Edith Blythe and Orville Blythe and step father Michael Diefenbaugh Sr. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.
As we remember Kimberly, let us celebrate her legacy of love, laughter, and connection. Her spirit will continue to live on in her family and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
