Lana Tharp

INDIANAPOLIS – Lana Fay (Harrison) Tharp, 74, passed away on Wednesday, March 27, 2024 in Indianapolis, Indiana of natural causes. She was born on August 13, 1949 to the late Bobby G. and Eula Mae (Poe) Harrison in Indianapolis, Indiana.

She attended Emmerich Manual High School. Professionally, Lana worked as a claim’s adjuster at Blue Cross and Blue Shield from 1984 to 2004, retiring after 30 years. She enjoyed spending time with her grandkids and singing. Lana loved Jesus Christ and her family deeply. She was a member of the First United Evangelical Church. She was loving, caring and had the biggest heart ever!

Lana is survived by her mother, Eula Harrison; daughter, Danielle Reese; step daughters, Melissa and Crystal Tharp; siblings, Bobby, Kirby, Donald and David Harrison; grand-children, Gauge Reese, Thomas Young, Darren Wood, Racheal Dyer, and Robert Reese; great grandchild, Caiden Reese. In addition to her father, Lana was preceded in death by her son, Robert Reese; step son, Randy Tharp; siblings, Janet Yager and Jimmy Harrison and both sets of grandparents.

Lana’s friends and family may visit from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Thursday, April 4, 2024 at Newcomer Cremations, Funerals & Receptions, 925 East Hanna Avenue, Indianapolis, Indiana 46227. The funeral service will follow at 1:00 PM.
