Larry Stewart Fort, born April 19, 1953, passed away on July 26, 2026. He lived life on his own terms. He was an Air Force veteran, a hardworking man, and about as stubborn and grouchy as they come. If Larry gave you a hard time, chances are he liked you. Beneath his rough exterior was a man who cared deeply for his family and would do anything for the people he loved.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Rolena Fort, and his sister, Peggy Bryant.

He is survived by his daughters, Stephanie Faulkner and Sherisse Edwards, who knew him as a father who was always there when it mattered. He was proud of the women they became, even if he wasn't always the type to say it out loud.

His greatest joy was watching his grandchildren grow. He leaves behind Tristin Faulkner, Cody Tackett, Alyssa Tackett, Marshall Edwards, and Ethan Faulkner. He loved seeing each of them find their own way in life and was proud of every one of them.

Larry enjoyed collecting miniature trains, guns, and knives. He appreciated things that were well made, took pride in his collections, and could spend hours talking about them with anyone who shared the same interests.

Those who knew Larry will remember his dry sense of humor, his stubborn streak, and his willingness to help others without expecting anything in return. He wasn't one for big speeches or showing emotion, but his actions spoke louder than words. He showed his love by being dependable, standing his ground, and taking care of the people who counted on him.

Larry's family and friends will miss his stories, his sarcastic comments, and the way he could make people laugh when they least expected it. Though he is gone, the memories he leaves behind will stay with those who knew and loved him.

He will be deeply missed and never forgotten.
