Larry L. Tunget

Larry Lee Tunget, 87, of Southport, Indiana passed away peacefully on June 3rd, 2025. He was the son of Robert and Olive Tunget of Anderson, Indiana. 

He graduated from Madison Heights High School and earned a Bachelor's degree in Engineering from Purdue University. 

Larry served in the United States Air Force. He also served as a City Council member of Southport. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Nanette Tunget, former mayor Southport; his sisters, Patricia Provence and Carol Garrison; niece, Michelle Dotson; and several other nieces and nephews.

A graveside service for Larry will be held Wednesday, June 18 at 11 am at Crown Hill Cemetery Chapel. Military honors will be provided by the Indianapolis Metropolitan Military Honor Guard. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in his name may be made to the Disabled American Veterans Department of Indiana or the American Cancer Society.
