Saint Paul, Indiana

"Always and Forever"

Lorie Lynn Owen Jones, devoted woman of God, beloved wife and aunt, prayer partner to many, passed away at St. Francis Hospital - Indianapolis, Indiana on April 9,2025. She was married for 40 years to Carl V. Jones of St. Paul, Indiana. her parents, and grandparents proceeded her in death; Barbara Priddy Owen Weintraut (mother), Garland Dale Owen (father), Francis Weintraut (stepfather), and Earl T. Priddy (grandfather). Other family members survived, Leslie L. Doig (sister-in-law), Dr. Bill Doig (brother-in-law), Bill G and Joni Doig (nephew and wife), and three great nieces Ava, Bremley and Elodie, and great nephew Corbin Doig. Three stepsisters, a stepbrother and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

Life in the country was kind of laid back, thank God she became a county girl, planting flower beds with beautiful flowers, herbs and perennials. Antique collecting became her passion, and she loved being called a "picker". She always had an attitude of faith in what she was doing, a ministry field before her. She was overcoming several health ailments in her last years and was looking forward to her 45-year class reunion from Shelbyville High School (class of 1980). She will be joyfully remembered by all who knew her.

An avid music lover, she was discovering new artists that were ministering to her spirit. She enjoyed cooking and received joy by feeding others less fortunate. Her words of faith and encouragement were her calling card. Jesus has received her, and her reward is Heaven everlasting, still enjoying her God given passions.

Lorie had a heart for helping those in need. A fund is being set up in her memory to serve those in our community that might need a helping hand. Memorial donations can be made in memory of Lorie to the Blue River Community Foundation. Contributions can be mailed to Blue River Community Foundation, 54 W Broadway Street, Shelbyville, IN 46176
